André Butzer

September 7 – September 9, 2018

“Dear Ladies, hi gentlemen, I have to say that the works on paper that I made back in the year 2011 or so, are really important for my own thinking and for what was called ‘brain’ 6 weeks ago, before I had to move to California. Yes, these are echoes of color repetitions. They are optimistic and friendly as far as I can see them hovering in the hollow space of sad vibrations. These chords are far distant while as near as optional. They deliver a choice.

I chose what I had to choose. It was not easy and I am not sure if I have fully survived. Painting is the only hobby I have and I have no other jobs, nor hobbies. I am free to do what I want. I really don’t know what to do. I had to go to the forbidden places once more. It’s dangerous.”
